Perth Observatory Gas Giants Photography Workshop

Where: Perth Observatory, Bickley

Photograph the gas giants of Saturn and Jupiter through the telescopes of the Perth Observatory after a 45minute technical info session inside.

Perth Observatory Astrophotography Introduction

Where: Perth Observatory, Bickley

This full day workshop introduces you to astrophotography across a broad range of subjects including Nightscape, Milky Way, Deep Sky, Solar, Lunar and Planetary. You will use your camera to photograph nightscapes on the grounds of the Perth Observatory and also use your telescope on astrophotography telescopes of Roger Groom and the Perth Observatory. In 2023 we have a new set of telescopes specifically dedicated to this task.

Perth Observatory Nightscapes

Where: Perth Observatory, Bickley

This full day workshop comprehensively covers the topic of photographing Nightscapes using your own camera, tripod and accessories. We start in the new purpose designed training room, have dinner, and then practical around the site of the Perth Observatory. Perth Observatory Lunar Photography Workshop

Dark Sky Deep Sky Workshop

Where: My private dark sky observatory site in the Shire of Cunderdin
Date: Saturday 3rd February 2024 - Sunday 4th February 2024

Use your tracking mount or telescope for deep sky astrophotography under fantastic dark skies in comfortable conditions. Be inspired by awesome dark skies to photograph deep space objects and learn to make the most of your portable tracking mount or telescope with assistance from Roger Groom.
