Captured on the shore of a tranquil lake this photograph shows the Southern Cross, Pointers and Eta Carina Nebula in wonderful colour. The horizon is coloured in part by Airglow, a green hue that appears on some evenings. Star colour is retained through the use of a diffusing filter.
The beautifully sharp and clear silhouettes of the trees on the shore are what make this photograph. Imagine yourself standing looking out over the lake through these trees, just catching a glimpse of the Southern Cross through the gap in the trees.
This photograph was taken over Lake Leschenaultia in the hills of Perth, Western Australia (Childow). The stars of the pointers, and others, are reflecting in he still water of the lake.
As with all my prints, these are true long lasting photographic prints, individually prepared and signed by me the photographer. Each print is shipped with care information and identification label for framing
