This photograph shows the Milky Way (central region) rising from the east horizon during the late hours of a May night. Taken in the open spaces of the Western Australian Wheatbelt region the foreground dhows some how she-oak trees behind which the Milky Way is rising. This spectacular sight, common out in the australian dark skies shows just how bright the central region of the Milky Way is, with the contrast of the dark foreground.
As with all our prints these are of a high quality archival nature, lasting at least 80 years before noticable fading would occur. All prints are signed by the photographer, Roger Groom.
